San Francisco — September 7, 2011 — Virgin America, the California–based airline that is making flying fun again, today announces a “Kickoff to Fall Travel” Fare Sale, that is encouraging flyers to “touchdown” happy on the airline that offers all of this season’s nationally televised football games at 35,000 feet. The airline’s Red™ touch–screen personal entertainment platform offers every guest one of the largest seatback television screens in the domestic skies – with on–demand movies, videogames, music, Google maps and live satellite television with a recently refreshed news and sports line–up.  Football fans can ensure they don’t miss a single touchdown this NFL season, with all nationally televised games available at every seat via the carrier’s live satellite TV.  Guests on all Virgin America flights can tune in from their own seatback screen to nationally televised baseball games on FOX (New York), NHL games on NBC (New York) and nationally–televised football on ESPN and NBC as well as locally broadcast football games on Fox and CBS. Virgin America offers a host of inventive amenities like touch–screen personal seatback entertainment, fleetwide WiFi, power outlets at every seat, custom–designed leather seating with a deeper and more comfortable pitch and a first–of–its–kind on–demand food menu – so guests can order a microbrew or meal from their seat any time during a flight.

For service to/from Mexico, fares do not include the U.S. Immigration User Fee of $7, the U.S. APHIS fee of $5, a U.S. International Arrival/Departure Tax of $16.30 each way and additional taxes/fees of up to $60, including: Mexico International Departure Tax and Mexico Tourism Tax. Tickets are non–refundable and non–transferable. Seats are limited, subject to availability, and may not be available on all flights. Flights may not operate daily.
