We’ve Gone Standard. (In a Good Way.)

We’re no standard airline (and proud of it), but we’ve gone industry standard where it counts: by making the booking process easier and more streamlined for our travel partners.

On October 29, 2011 Virgin America (VX) migrated the airline’s hosted reservation system to SabreSonic and became a 100% e-ticketing carrier. Industry standard Electronic Ticketing (ET) and ARC settlement for travel agencies in the US is available for all participating GDS subscribers of Worldspan, Apollo, Sabre, and Amadeus.

For agencies in Canada, Virgin America is also a full participant in the Canadian BSP. Agencies located outside the US and Canada are no longer able to purchase wholly VX itineraries through the guaranteed payment or instant ticketing method via their GDS. Wholly VX itineraries for agencies located outside the US can be booked on www.virginamerica.com.
