An insightful man once observed that the
only common belief the vast majority of humans share is that they're
each an above-average driver. It's a fact that most everyone believes they're
"above average" in nearly every aspect — as dressers,
coffee makers or foot masseurs — you name it.
We just assume that we're above average, but do we take the time to
apply our above average skills where they're needed most? It's scary
to think that we might not be, and even scarier to find out that we're
above average — way above average — and capable of making change and
influencing our world.
What does this have to do with Virgin America? Everything. We're
looking for people who want to see where they really lie, be it
average, above or extraordinary. It's the belief in your own potential
that separates the great from the unmemorable.
Virgin America is not for everyone. The courage to re-invent yourself
and the airline industry does not call upon the meek, the satiated
and the comfortable.
Virgin America is much more than an airline that transports people
from point A to point B. In fact, it's not an airline. It's an enrichment
program. It's a better way of life through flying.
What kind of person is fit for this mission? One who is creative,
compassionate, patient, visionary, spontaneous, articulate, a good
listener, ambitious, fun, humble, brave, sympathetic, cool under
pressure, dedicated, curious, passionate, energetic, inspiring and
trustworthy.
So the only question you have to ask yourself is, are you Virgin
enough for Virgin America? Are you Virgin enough to take on the
task of seeing what you're capable of doing, becoming, being?
Are you Virgin enough for Virgin America?
