Holly oversees Virgin America’s financial operations, including treasury, corporate finance, tax, financial planning and analysis, accounting, financial reporting, budgets, procurement and fleet planning. Holly brings 23 years of financial experience in the commercial aviation sector to the Virgin America team and was appointed CFO in April 2009.
Holly most recently served as Senior Vice President Finance and Controller at XOJET, Inc. from June 2008 to April 2009, including seven months as Acting CFO. Prior to that, Holly served as Vice President Finance and Controller at Eos Airlines, Inc. From 2001-2007, Holly served as Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer at JetBlue Airways Corporation. In her six years at JetBlue, the airline entered the public markets and experienced tremendous growth. Holly’s airline experience started at Republic Airlines and included fifteen years in increasing roles of responsibility at Northwest Airlines, Inc., leaving as Director, Corporate Accounting and Reporting.
Holly is a past member of the Accounting Standards Executive Committee (AcSEC) which is the senior technical committee at the America Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She was also on the Airline Guide Task Force that recently issued the updated AICPA Audit & Accounting Guide on Airlines. She was also chairperson of the AICPA Members in Industry Professional Issues Subcommittee.
Holly is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She started her career in the audit practice of KPMG LLC in their St. Paul, Minnesota office, leaving after five years for Nabisco Brands until she joined the airline industry in 1985. Holly and her husband, Rick, have two adult children.

At Virgin America she will drive a continued focus on partnering with critical stakeholders, cost-efficiencies and strong revenue performance, as the airline continues to grow its unique and award-winning low-fare service model. |
