San Francisco, California -- Nov. 7, 2007 -- Virgin America today announced ticket sales for daily flights between its home base of San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and San Diego International Airport (SAN). The service will begin on Feb 12, 2008 with three daily flights and will expand to five daily flights on March 9, 2008. Connecting flights will also be available from San Diego via SFO to New York's JFK and Washington Dulles airports.

"With plugs to charge your laptop and other electronic gear near every seat and the most advanced inflight entertainment system in the skies -- our brand new planes were created with the tech-savvy California traveler in mind."
Virgin America's SFO-SAN fares start at $39 one way in the Main Cabin and $149 one way in First Class.* Virgin America's brand new planes feature moodlighting, custom-designed leather seats and the Red Inflight Entertainment™ system which allows guests to order food, watch one of 25 movies, satellite TV, play a videogame, create a personal playlist from over 3,000 MP3 music tracks onboard or instant message with other guests -- all from a 9" video touch-screen and keyboard at every seat.

SAN Departures are conveniently timed throughout the day, starting in February with 9:15am; 2:15pm and 6:50pm daily departures (adding 6:30am and 4:15pm departures in March). SFO departures start in February with 7:00am, 12noon and 4:35pm daily departures (adding 2:00pm and 9:05pm departures in March).
Launched on August 8, 2007, the airline plans to grow by more than 1000 employees a year. Virgin America flies to San Francisco (SFO), New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX), Washington (Dulles), Las Vegas (LAS) and starting on February 12, 2008 -- San Diego (SAN).
