What is changing?

Virgin America and Barclaycard are ending the current Virgin America Visa Card program at the end of 2013. Virgin America will be offering a new Virgin America branded credit card program in early January 2014.

Why will I be receiving a new card?

As a Barclaycard customer, Barclaycard will be replacing your current Virgin America Visa Card with a Barclaycard branded product by January 15, 2014. Please look for additional information from Barclaycard regarding this transition, associated changes to your current card benefits, and important changes to your account terms.

Should I cancel or stop using my current Virgin America Visa Card?

No, you can keep using your current Virgin America Visa Card and you will continue to receive all of the current benefits of being a cardholder, including earning Elevate points for all your eligible purchases, through January 1, 2014.

Will I still be able to earn Elevate points on my current Virgin America Visa Card?

Yes, you will continue to earn Elevate points for all eligible purchases made using your current Virgin America Visa card through January 1, 2014. Any Elevate points earned during this time will be credited to your Elevate account as usual, and will continue to be available for redemption from your Elevate account after January 1, 2014.

What will happen to my existing Elevate points?

You will not lose any of your existing Elevate points. Any points already credited to your Elevate account are safe, plus any points earned for eligible purchases through January 1, 2014 will be credited to your Elevate account and will continue to be available for redemption for reward flights on Virgin America or one of our airline partners after January 1, 2014.

Can I still use my $150 off a companion ticket discount code?

Yes, the discount code will still be valid for use through the original expiration date listed on the email you received from us. Please contact us at 1-877-FLY-VIRGIN if you have any additional questions about redeeming your discount code with Virgin America.

Will I still earn bonus Elevate Status Points if I spend over $25,000 on my Virgin America Visa Card by the end of 2013?

Yes, as long as you meet the annual calendar year spend requirement by December 31, 2013, you will earn the appropriate bonus Status Points in your Elevate account, which will be counted towards reaching or renewing Elevate Silver or Elevate Gold Status for the 2014 Membership Benefit Year.
