Your Elevate Silver or Elevate Gold Status is calculated daily based on the number of Elevate status points you’ve earned in a calendar year. Once you earn your status, you’ll enjoy the benefits that come with it for the rest of the year, and the next year too. It’s a pretty sweet deal. How to get hooked up:

Earning your Elevate Status is pretty simple, actually.

1. With Virgin America, you’ll earn 5 status points per $1 spent on your base fare.

2. With Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia, you’ll earn status points based on the number of miles you fly and the class of service in which you travel.

3. Use your plastic to get perks.

You can also earn 10,000 status points—that’s halfway to Elevate Silver—when you spend at least $25,000 in a calendar year on your low annual fee Virgin America Visa Signature Card.* Or, if you use a no-fee Virgin America Visa Signature Card, you’ll earn 5,000 status points by spending $25,000 in a calendar year.

We’ll check your Elevate status points daily to see if you’re ready to take your membership to the next level. As soon as you’ve earned 20,000 status points in a calendar year, you’re Elevate Silver. Go on to earn 50,000 status points, and you’re Elevate Gold.

 

Terms and Conditions:
*Qualifying status points: Each year, Virgin America Visa cardholders will earn bonus status points if $25,000 in eligible purchases have been made using the credit card during the applicable year. Cardmembers that have an annual fee will earn a 10,000 status points (provided the annual fee has been paid) and Virgin America Visa cardholders not paying an annual fee will earn 5,000 status points. Each year will be measured based on billing cycle end dates beginning in January and ending in December of the applicable year, regardless of account open date. Any eligible purchases made after the December billing cycle end date will be applied to toward the next year’s status point earnings. Approximately 6-8 weeks after the billing cycle end date in which the $25,000 in eligible purchases threshold has been reached, the 10,000 or 5,000 Status Points earned, as applicable, will be posted to the cardholder’s Elevate account.
