How to earn Elevate Gold Status:

Land 50,000 status points, and you'll take your membership to the highest level: Elevate Gold Status. Each day, we'll check your eligibility for Elevate Gold Status based on the number of status points you earned over the last calendar year, and as soon as you earn 50,000 Elevate status points, you're golden. So, if you earn 50,000 status points on May 1, 2014, you'll keep your Elevate Gold Status through February 28, 2016.

How to keep Elevate Gold Status:

After your first full year of Elevate Gold Status, you’ll need to earn 50,000 Elevate status points by December 31 each year to renew your benefits. If you earn fewer than 50,000 Elevate status points in a calendar year, no worries. We’ll just renew your Elevate membership in Silver Status.

*Virgin America Premium Visa Card ($149 Annual Fee): Virgin America Premium Visa Cardholders are eligible to earn up to 15,000 status points per calendar year toward reaching or renewing Elevate Gold or Elevate Silver status. You will receive 5,000 status points for each $10,000 of Net New Purchases made using your card, up to a maximum of 15,000 status points per calendar year, provided that you have paid the Annual Fee and your Account is open and not in default at the time points are posted. Any status points earned on Net New Purchases made after the December billing cycle end date will be applied towards the following calendar year's status points earnings. Status points will post to your Elevate account approximately 6 to 8 weeks after the billing cycle end date in which you reach each $10,000 of Net New Purchases.
