How to earn Elevate points
You earn Elevate points with Virgin Australia based on the type of fare you purchase and the distance you fly. So the farther you go, the more points you earn. Just make sure to check at the time of booking to see if your class of travel is eligible for Elevate points, and remember to include your Elevate number when you book. As an example, if you fly on Virgin Australia from Sydney (SYD) to Melbourne (MEL) in Premium Economy, you would receive the following:
MEL-SYD Base Miles (Round Trip): 878
Premium Economy: 50% of miles flown
Elevate points: 439 points
Can I claim points from a previous flight?
If you’re already an Elevate member, any Virgin Australia flight you’ve taken on or after April 1, 2010 is eligible for Elevate points. You have six months from the date of your flight to request credit. Call us at 1.877.FLY.VIRGIN (1.877.359.8474) between the hours of 3:30am - 11:30pm Pacific Time and we’ll be glad to assist you.

Flights are governed by the Virgin Australia Terms & Conditions. Virgin Australia International short haul flights are not eligible for Elevate points. Check the Elevate Terms & Conditions for details about earning Elevate points with Virgin Australia. Please allow 6-8 weeks for points to post. If you’re a member of one of our partner airlines’ frequent flyer programs, please note that you can only earn points or miles in one program for any particular flight. Points required to redeem an Elevate travel reward on Virgin Australia are subject to change. Taxes, fees and surcharges are payable in addition to Elevate points redeemed and vary according to travel destination. Reward bookings on Virgin Australia are subject to availability, which may be limited. As of May 21, 2011, the following fare classes will not be eligible for Elevate points: H, Z, D, I, L, Q, V, K. |
