VIRGIN AMERICA REPORTS MAY 2013 OPERATIONAL RESULTS
San Francisco – June 13, 2013 – Virgin America today reported its preliminary operational results for May and May year-to-date. Virgin America’s May traffic (revenue passenger miles) rose 4.8 percent on a 1 percent decline in capacity (available seat miles).
Load factor for May 2013 was 82.9 percent, up 4.6 points from May 2012. The number of onboard passengers rose 10.6 percent from the same month in 2012.
Virgin America estimates May passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) to have risen between 8 and 9 percent compared with May 2012.
