Regular full-time team members are eligible to enroll themselves (and their eligible dependents) in our group health and welfare plans on the 1st of the month after 30 days of employment. Eligible dependents include:
A team member’s spouse or domestic partner.
Unmarried children (natural, step, foster, adopted or legal charge) under age 26.
Virgin America offers our full-time team members a choice of plans providing comprehensive medical coverage and prescription drug coverage. Our medical plan options vary based on your location.
Regular full-time team members may participate in the group dental plan that offers preventative, major restorative and orthodontic coverage – as well as freedom of choice in dental providers.
Virgin America offers regular full-time team members a vision care plan that provides affordable eye care benefits including: exams, prescription glasses and contact lenses.
EAP provides confidential professional assistance to help team members and their families resolve problems that affect their personal lives or job performance. The EAP team member assistance program is available at no additional cost to all Virgin America full-time and regular part-time team members.
Virgin America pays for basic life insurance protection for full-time team members. Team members may also purchase additional coverage for themselves and their eligible dependents.
Regular full-time team members are covered by Virgin America’s long-term disability program. This plan provides income protection for those unable to work due to a long-term illness or injury. Team members may also purchase additional short-term and long-term disability coverage.
Virgin America makes it possible for our team members to save for retirement through the 401(k) plan. Regular full-time and part-time team members can enroll in the 401(k) plan on the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
Flexible Spending Accounts are available for team members to save money on certain types of medical and dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis.
Virgin America offers a pre-tax spending account for commuting expenses. Team members can contribute on a monthly basis toward public transportation and parking costs.
One of the coolest perks of being a team member at Virgin America are the travel privileges. Full and part time employees and their eligible friends and family members enjoy free flights on Virgin America and discounted travel with other carriers.
