The Virgin Group, a minority investor in Virgin America, re-invests 100% of its profits from Virgin America and other transport businesses into renewable fuels and resource efficiency businesses and research in order to combat climate change.

Virgin America partners with Carbonfund.org to offer guests the ability to offset the carbon footprint of their flight, as well as to offset our headquarters footprint each year. The airline selected offset projects that focus on U.S. based carbon emissions reductions. As with all projects supported by Carbonfund.org, the projects are independently validated and verified. The Climate Registry is a nonprofit collaboration among North American states, provinces, territories and Native Sovereign Nations that sets consistent and transparent standards to calculate, verify and publicly report greenhouse gas emissions into a single registry.
