Virgin America offers fleetwide WiFi* and Free Chat™, as well as power outlets at every seat. So you can stay connected at 35,000 feet. Here's more on our WiFi providers, ViaSat and Gogo.
In-flight Satellite WiFi from ViaSat*
We offer ViaSat satellite-based in-flight internet service on our newest delivery of A320 and A321 aircraft. You can find out if you are flying on a ViaSat-equipped aircraft by looking for the "virginamerica" WiFi network on your personal device. Once connected, you can stream TV, movies, music, and more with WiFi access on your ViaSat-equipped flight. Plus, enjoy free Free Chat™ so you can stay connected with your friends and family from your flight.
The ViaSat service is the only in-flight technology that delivers a full internet connectivity experience – just like you have at home. The service provides internet speeds that are typically 8 to 10 times faster than any other in-flight technology, which means guests have the freedom to stream their favorite movies, TV shows and music; shop online; and surf the web faster on their own personal devices.
In-flight WiFi from Gogo*
Our first 53 aircraft have Gogo’s faster, ATG-4 Ground-Based WiFi service. Gogo service brings increased bandwidth and faster browsing speeds to flyers at 35,000 feet. Now that we've joined forces with Alaska Airlines, we are pleased to announce that customers can use their monthly pass on both airlines. Additionally, customers purchasing a Gogo annual pass can use that pass on connecting flights on either airline.
