Due to scheduled web maintenance, Elevate and travel booking features typically available via the website as well as the Contact Center will be unavailable for several hours starting at 7:00pm PT this Saturday, April 25. The features that will be temporarily unavailable include the ability to join Elevate, update Elevate accounts, change or cancel a flight with the creation of a travel bank account. Guests can continue to make travel bookings with credit card payment.  If you are planning to join Elevate, book a flight by redeeming Elevate points, access an existing account, change or cancel a flight, or any of the above mentioned actions, we suggest you do so prior to this brief maintenance period. We apologize for any inconvenience.

LAX and JFK Runway Construction Beginning March 2015

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will begin federally mandated Runway Safety Area improvements on March 6, 2015, while JFK International Airport (JFK) will begin federally mandated runway safety improvements March 15, 2015. The JFK project is expected to conclude in September 2015 and the current phase of the LAX project is expected to conclude October 2015.  As a result of runway closures during the construction period, guests may experience flight delays during peak travel periods and/or unfavorable weather conditions at JFK and LAX. Virgin America guests traveling to or from JFK or LAX during the runway construction period are encouraged to sign up for Flight Alerts and to check their Flight Status

New Location for San Diego Ticket Counter

Beginning February 11, 2015, the Virgin America ticketing and check-in counters and kiosks at San Diego International Airport will move from the East end of the Terminal 2 ticketing lobby to the West end. Curbside signs will be moved to reflect the change from February 10, 2015. 

Cancun Time Zone Change

As of February 1, 2015, Cancun will shift from Central Standard Time to Eastern Standard Time.  Virgin America flights from the West Coast to Cancun will depart at their previously scheduled time, but will arrive an hour later than originally scheduled due to the time zone change. Flights from Cancun to the West Coast will also be departing an hour later than originally scheduled.  If you have a confirmed flight to or from Cancun you will receive an email from the Virgin America guest service team confirming your upcoming flight times. As always, guests are encouraged to remain up-to-date on their flight status before leaving for the airport by checking here or by signing up for Virgin America Flight Alerts here.
