BART Transbay Service Disruption

Due to planned track construction on the Transbay Tube, Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) will be closing the West Oakland Station and not running trains between West Oakland and Embarcadero stations September 5-7, 2015. Guests traveling to/from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and the East Bay are encouraged to allow extra travel time and use other public transbay travel options such as ferries and the AC Transit service. Cancun Highway Lane Closures

Due to the closure of lanes on the Cancun-Playa del Carmen highway, guests traveling to Cancun International Airport (CUN) are advised allow extra travel time and use the recommended detour on Nuevo Xcan-Playa del Carmen.

Extended hours for TSA Pre® Enrollment:

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has extended summer hours for TSA Pre✓® enrollment at 12 locations, making it easier for travelers to complete the application process. Travelers can schedule an early morning or late afternoon appointment at Washington Reagan International Airport (DCA), Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Orange County John Wayne Airport (SNA) or Denver International Airport (DEN). Off-airport site locations are also available in NYC, San Jose, San Francisco, Raleigh, Los Angeles-Glendale, Seattle, downtown Chicago, or Alexandria, Virginia. Interested travelers are encouraged to join TSA Pre✓® or if you’re an international traveler, CBP’s Global Entry (also entitling you to Pre✓® screening benefits) as it allows for a faster and more effortless screening process. LAX and JFK Runway Construction Summer 2015

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will resume federally mandated Runway Safety Area improvements on June 27, 2015.  JFK International Airport (JFK) is also performing similar federally mandated runway safety improvements. The JFK project is expected to conclude in September 2015 and the current phase of the LAX project is expected to conclude in October 2015.  As a result of runway closures during the construction period, guests may experience flight delays during peak travel periods and/or unfavorable weather conditions at JFK and LAX. Virgin America guests traveling to or from JFK or LAX during the runway construction period are encouraged to sign up for Flight Alerts and to check their Flight Status
